Camille Dixon manages Cannabis Insurance Policy Initiatives and the Low-Cost Auto Insurance program at the CaliforniaDepartment of Insurance. Ms. Dixon sits on various cannabis policy boards and committees for the Department. Ms. Dixon also sits on the California Automobile Assigned Risk Plan board where she represents the Department. Camille is the recipient of a 40 under 40 award from her undergraduate institution for her leadership in cannabis insurance policy and Insurance Business Magazine named Ms. Dixon an Elite Woman of 2017 for her groundbreaking work in cannabis insurance policy.Camille previously worked for the California State Board of Equalization where she advised the Chair regarding tax appeals, legislative matters, and implemented the Chair’s cannabis and affordable housing taxation initiatives. Camille also worked for one of the largest commercial real estate firms in the world managing client assets and over one million square feet of property.
Prior to her commercial real estate career, Ms. Dixon worked for the court system managing caseloads and assisting criminal law judges. She also worked for the City of Vallejo Public Works department where she helped the local residents and became Chairwoman of the City of Vallejo Youth Activities Commission. Ms. Dixon graduated from Golden Gate University School of Law with a Doctorate in Jurisprudence and a Master of Laws in Taxation. She also holds degrees in political science and paralegal studies.
